I cannot say enough wonderful things about Healing Touch and the compassion they showed our family during one of the most difficult moments we've had to face. From the moment I submitted an inquiry about end-of-life care for our 14-year-old cat, Nermal, I felt unbelievably supported. Every interaction was handled with kindness, patience, compassion, and an understanding of just how painful this decision was for our family. Being able to say goodbye to Nermal at home meant more to us than I can adequately express. There was no stressful car ride, no carrier, no unfamiliar veterinary office, and no fear. Instead, he was surrounded by the people and animals who loved him, in the place where he felt safe. Nermal was able to spend his final moments peacefully outside on the porch he loved to lay on, with his family beside him. There was something incredibly beautiful about being able to give him that kind of goodbye after 14 years of giving us his love. Healing Touch treated Nermal with dignity and treated our family with such genuine compassion throughout the entire experience. They never made us feel rushed, and I felt supported every step of the way. While I hope it is a very long time before we ever need their services again, there is absolutely no question that I will reach out to Healing Touch when the time comes for another one of our beloved pets to cross the rainbow bridge. Thank you for helping us give Nermal the peaceful, loving goodbye he deserved. We will forever be grateful.

I do not post, just never felt the need, but... I can not describe how grateful I am for the opportunity to have met Dr. Kendra. My wife and I struggled with making this decision too. We watched Jack's health decline in the last 10 months, we celebrated his 17th Birthday in July. Vicki made a few calls, she spoke with Mike and felt a sense of comfort and caring, Dr. Kendra was in our home later that day. Our son Mitch and daughter-in-law Raquel, and Zeppelin (he loved Raquel first and was Jack's best friend) we were all able to be together with Jack. Dr. Kendra bought a true sense of comfort, put our hearts and minds at ease. Being who I think I am, I was not expecting this to be as difficult as it's been, but I know it would have been harder without having had Dr. Kendra a part of it. Healing Touch made one of the most horrible days of our lives as easy as it could be. Being able to allow our sweet cat the comfort of his own home surrounded by his favorite people in his final moments was so much easier than having him be scared and out of his element. Dr. Kendra’s calm and empathetic presence and her validation of all that we were feeling was very helpful through our grieving process.
A few weeks ago, our beautiful 12 year old German Shepherd’s health took a sudden turn for the worse. We were faced with making a very difficult decision in a short period of time on a Friday evening. We researched and found Healing Touch’s website and reached out to Dr. Kendra. She was at our home within 30 minutes. She took time to get to know our dog and ask us questions about him. We shared stories of our time with him throughout his life and she comforted us as we prepared to say goodbye to a family member that we all love very deeply. She helped make this very sad, emotional moment in our family peaceful. It was so beautiful and precious to allow our dog to pass peacefully at home surrounded by people who loved him. She also personally returned his urn to us after his cremation. We highly recommend Healing Touch and Dr. Kendra. We will never forget her kindness and compassion and how she supported us through this time of great sorrow.
We want to extend our heartfelt thank you to Healing Touch for the compassion and care they gave our Bella as she crossed the rainbow bridge. From the very beginning, their website was incredibly informative, every question we had was answered so quickly and thoughtfully—it truly made a difficult decision just a little easier. When the day came, they came to our home, which was such a gift to our family. Dr. Jordon was absolutely perfect for Bella. Bella was always a nervous girl, but Dr. Jordon’s soft voice and gentle touch were exactly what she needed. She made the entire experience as peaceful and comforting as it could possibly be. She never rushed anything, explained every step with care and answered all of our questions with such patience. Bella even got to enjoy some very yummy treats, which felt like such a sweet and loving touch. We also have a four-year-old Golden Retriever, and Dr. Jordon allowed her to be present—sniffing, exploring and taking it all in. I truly believe that helped her understand that her “sister” peacefully left us. Choosing to have Bella at home, surrounded by love, was the BEST but HARD decision for our family and we are so grateful to Healing Touch and Dr. Jordon for making such a heartbreaking moment feel so gentle, respectful, and full of love. 🩷

Healing Touch was exactly what we needed to help send our beloved husky, Neeko, off to the Rainbow Bridge surrounded by love in the comfort of his home. Dr. Kendra was extremely compassionate when she came to help my cat, Flora, pass at home. She had a calming presence and made me feel like I could have as much time as I needed to be ready to start the process. I am so appreciative that she was willing to drive all the way to Oshkosh on just a few hours notice, on a weekend. This was one of the hardest days of my life but it was so comforting knowing that Flora didn't have to wait and suffer in pain. I didn't know how I would be able to let a stranger leave with my pet but Dr. Kendra was so gentle that I was okay handing Flora over to her because I knew she would take good care of her. The peace Flora and I both felt from being able to be in our home during our last moments together was priceless.
Dr Kendra was amazing and Healing Touch beyond met any needs we had!! Dr Kendra cried right along with us and laughed at our dark humor with us sharing in every minute of the last few hours with Bella our Saint. She was treated with same respect as a human on hospice. Dr Kendra wrapped her tight in a blanket when leaving our home and took her to Forrest Run Crematory. I can not say enough great things about how they made a horrible day a peaceful experience and the trust and love Bella had for Dr Kendra right to her last breath!!!

Dr Kendra Hodge came to our home yesterday after we had made the gut wrenching decision to end our sweet 13 year old black Labs suffering. Dr Hodge was responsive, compassionate, empathetic as well as patient and comforting. She was not our regular Vet but rather a chance we took after finding her website online. She made an awful process better with her demeanor and respect for us and our wonderful Ellie. Home euthanization was so much more intimate and consoling than having to go to a Vet’s office. Words cannot express how grateful we are for the care and the service. If you've been through pet loss before, it's hard. But doing it this way right at home is an incredible experience. I wouldn't choose any other way. And Dr. Kendra is incredible and showed only the kindest, compassionate care to our pets.
We had to call on Dr. Kendra when our cat's organs were failing and he needed end of life treatment. It was obviously a tremendously terrible situation, and Dr. Kendra was quick to respond, communicated well, was very kind and supportive, and worked well through our challenging situation--my cat's failing organs made it difficult for Kendra's usual process; she only mildly alluded to the situation, keeping things professional and working hard not to create more stress for us, but we could tell she felt bad that the process wasn't more streamlined. We're grateful she was able to help our boy stop suffering at home where he was happiest.
Dr Kendra and team could not be praised enough for their assistance and professionalism through this process. I was responded to quickly after my online request and then was updated with text messages constantly so I knew what the next steps were and how to complete them. When she visited our home our two dogs who can be standoffish to strangers were quickly at ease and she helped us and our children through this traumatic event. I can’t imagine having this done in a doctor’s office when the home was such a better experience for us and our dog. Thank you for everything.

Our sweet Mika loved the country life and was never a fan of being loaded into the car for vet visits — it always caused her a lot of stress. That’s why it felt so natural to have her at home, surrounded by those who loved her most, during her final moments. Having to put your pet to sleep is one of the hardest decisions to make. I was so afraid to do it because I felt like I was giving up on my kitty. He was my soul kitty, my shadow. Dr. Kendra was nothing short of an angel. She came into our home full of love and compassion. She talked me through everything that was going to happen. It helped me know what to expect. She gave my baby the medicine to make him sleepy. She made sure that he was warm and put a pad underneath him in case he had any fluid leakage. From that moment on, she was in the floor very close to me. Still exuding compassion. The time came and my kitty passed. Dr. Kendra made it so warm and made it easier to say goodbye. There was absolutely NO pressure to “hurry up” nor did I feel rushed. She let me hold my kitty for as long as I wanted. When I was ready, she wrapped up my kitty with so much love, so gently. I would recommend Healing Touch and Dr. Kendra for any of your pets that are ready to cross the bridge. My guy hated the vet, hated the cat carrier, hated car rides. Her service let him pass in complete peace, at home where he was loved the most. I don’t have enough good words to say but it was the most peaceful experience of my life. Thank you, Dr. Kendra.

The care, compassion and love Dr. Kendra showed not only my 2 dogs Bella and Macy, but also to myself will not be forgotten. Her knowledge goes without saying, but she explained so we could understand what was necessary. We ended up having to euthanize both our girls within days of each other. When it became evident that we needed to put down our beloved 14 year old Sweet Angel Baby we were heartbroken. We wanted it to be a calm and peaceful experience and stressed over how to make that happen. My daughter found Dr. Kendra's website and we looked into the option of at-home euthanasia. After much consideration we decided this is what we wanted for Cheyenne. And it was ABSOLUTELY the right decision. Cheyenne did not have to be loaded into the car and taken anywhere; she was able to be at home with all of us that loved her so and where she had her own bed and the things she was comfortable with. Dr. Kendra is AMAZING - so very calm and caring and gave Cheyenne the comfort, dignity and serenity that she so deserved. Healing Touch was the best choice we could have made to say goodbye to our guinea pig. The vet was absolutely amazing, respectful and caring. She explained everything she was doing, and had us in full control at all times. Our guinea pig was suffering multiple medical issues, and I couldn't bring myself to take him out of his home, just to be put down. He lived here all of his life. He passed quietly and was in our arms. Thank you for making the hard decision easier and by putting our minds at ease knowing we gave him a respectful passing he deserved.

This is a service I don't wish the need of on anyone, however our family had the most compassionate, kind experience. Our dog got sick fast, and he was large-so a trip to the vet seemed so inhumane. He was able to be in his bed with his family for his last breaths. I will always be so thankful for the kindness, and the ability to be able to do this at home.

A week ago we unexpectedly lost our sweet 10-year-old girl Becca. After a trip to urgent care, we realized the best thing for her was to let her go. We reached out to The Healing Touch and they were able to come that very day to help us say goodbye to her. This is one of those services I didn't know I would ever use, let alone want in my life. For which my wife and I are grateful. Our 14yr old Yorkie had been on the decline and my wife was able to schedule an appointment relatively simply. More importantly, when things turned faster than we were ready for, an earlier appointment reschedule was available and a simple process. When Dr. Kendra arrived, she was the most compassionate person one could ask for walking up to the door. She recognized it was rough and, even with this being a "job", asked if I wanted hug. When she came in the house, it was all on us. She answered any questions and went through the steps thoroughly and ensure my wife and I were ready (as much as we could be). Through it all, there was not a single indication of, "okay I got other work" or any particular rush. When it was time to take our pup to be transported, I asked if I could carry her, and that was allowed (some professions have weird rules, so didn't know), which was allowed. This service, combined with Dr. Kendra's compassion, will ensure we use this service if (and probably when) the time comes again.
Dr Kendra was amazing to work with during a difficult time for our family. Unfortunately we had to put our family dog down, who’s been alive longer than some of my teenage kids. It was a very hard decision, but Dr Kendra was compassionate and treated Daisy with kindness and respect, and allowed us the time we needed right up until the end. I can’t even begin to imagine how difficult her job is. If you find yourself in such a situation, it’s well worth it to do an in home peaceful euthanasia. We couldn’t have asked for a better place than home for the last moments with Daisy.
My dog died peacefully in his bed surrounded by loved ones. Their understanding and care during this difficult time was so appreciated.
I cannot recommend Healing Touch high enough. The experience of having to put our sweet dog down was incredibly painful, however, Healing Touch helped tremendously. From the ease of setting up the appointment to Dr. Kendra’s competence and compassion to the kind card we received in the mail, it was a wonderful service. Being able to make our beloved dog’s last moments so peaceful meant the world to us.

Dr. Kendra is an absolute angel on earth. From the beginning of filling out the book an appointment online to the end-it was so seamless! She called me herself to go over everything and set up the appointment. You are able to pay ahead of time if you choose which was so nice to not have to worry when saying goodbye to your pet. She brought everything to our house and treated our dog Dyson like her own! She engaged with our young kids & allowed us all as much time as we needed to say goodbye. She gave us both such a heartfelt genuine hug as she left & we felt so good about our decision. I couldnt believe she even drove his ashes back to our house herself! I would recommend dr. Kendra 100x over to anyone facing this very hard decision!
We had known our senior dog Willie(golden retriever)was at the last stretch of life. We had been referred to Dr. Kendra by a friend and we were set to have an at home euthanasia. However , less than a day before , he passed on his own. We were lost on what to do, Dr. Kendra responded to our emails in the early Sunday morning and was at our home within hours to assist us in the difficult time. She was great in assisting us even though it didn’t quite go to plan. We recommend Healing Touch for anyone who wants to avoid the uncomfortable vet visits and trips in those last days. Healing Touch prepared us for months before we needed them through their health tracking app, so we could be ready. But despite our best efforts, our 13 year old beloved lab went from a great weekend of pleasant outdoor play to losing control of her back legs and her systems overnight. And when we called, they were there, caring for us and for Murphee at the same time. We said good bye outdoors in our own yard surrounded by the smells and sounds she knew and loved, not on stainless steel under fluorescent lights in a room that smells like bleach. As difficult as this moment was for us, it was the right decision for Sandy. Dr. Kendra was amazing, from her arrival to the genuine, heartfelt hug at the conclusion, I cannot say enough about how the in-house visit made this process much less stressful for Sandy and allowed us to grieve in our own space. We contacted Healing Touch when we came to the painful realization that the time had come for our beloved Yorkie, Cookie, to cross the rainbow bridge. Email communication was smooth. And they were able to accommodate a request to move up the date when Cookie took a turn. Dr. Kendra was so compassionate. She sat on our living room floor and walk use through the steps. Asked if we had any questions and gave us all the time we needed. While the situation is never a good one, being able to send her off while she lounged on her couch (her favorite spot!) was a blessing. Would highly recommend their services.

Our Bentley boy suddenly needed to cross the rainbow bridge due to an unexpected aggressive tumor that was quickly impacting his quality of life. Healing Touch was able to make us a same day appt and Dr Kendra came to our home - The most painful day of our lives but everything was handled with so much care. Bentley comfortably crossed the rainbow bridge surrounded by us and our other dog, Lola. I highly recommend Dr Kendra, Healing Touch, and the in home euthanasia service. It’s a hard decision to make to put your pet down but healing touch made the process as caring and professional as possible. I will now always use them for all our end of care needs for future furry family in the future. I’m so glad services like this exist because it’s exactly what we needed to show our dog the most love and compassion til the very end.
Dr. Kendra Hodge and her staff were so wonderful at such a difficult time. They were so compassionate and gave us time to say our Good byes to our precious dog Oliver. Dr. Kendra did not rush us. She let us tell her when we were ready. Dr. Kendra explained everything that was going to happen and made sure we understood and were comfortable with our choice. This was one of the hardest and heartbreaking events in our lives. We miss our Oliver greatly and there will always be a special place in our hearts where he will always remain. Being able to have in home euthanasia was a lot less stressful on Oliver as well as us. Healing Touch staff and Dr. Kendra Hodge are the best.

The toughest part of owning an animal is the day you have to say goodbye. Having the ability to do it at home made it a lot less hectic. We've shared our experience with friends and they were shocked with the cost being affordable and being able to do it in a comfortable setting. Dear Healing Touch, this was my first experience with in-home end of life. Dr.Kendra entered my home with the warmest, much needed hug, as I was pacing with my Eddie. She walked me through the procedure, while allowing me time, if I needed, with kindness and respect. The thought of taking him to the vet and him stressed was a concern. When we got our first cat, Alastor, Kendra was extremely helpful in letting us know what we needed and what to expect. One thing that stands out, is that she told us whatever we planned to do with Alastor, we should start doing it within the first year. We started cutting his nails every week and now after several years, he is usually purring while we clip. We camp in an RV a lot. We started taking him with us as soon as we got him, and now he travels very nicely in a carrier and our camper is his home away from home. She has always given us the information we needed to make educated decisions about his healthcare. She did the surgery to neuter him when he was about 6 months old, and put us at ease before the surgery and let us know just what we needed to do after the surgery. Kendra has always been a kind and caring advocate for Alastor's well being.
We are incredibly grateful for the kindness and compassion shown to us and our beloved Avvey during one of the hardest days we’ve ever faced. Although we had never met your team before that day, you treated both Avvey and our family with such warmth, dignity, and care. You helped us say goodbye peacefully, and without feeling rushed, and your empathy meant more than we can express. Thank you for helping us honor our sweet girl with so much compassion. On June 15th, Dr. Kendra helped our little Milly find peace. Milly would have celebrated her 16th birthday on July 29th. We adopted her from a shelter in Iron River MI when she was 3 years old. The obvious signs that the end was coming started in mid-May. Having gone through this 5 times in our lifetime, we had already made the decision to have her at home when the time came. I made the initial call and talked with Mike telling him what was going on and that we wanted her last moments to be as stress free and comfortable as possible. He explained the entire process and told me to take my time making the appointment. He also told me to call anytime, even if it was just to talk, cry or scream. In the end, I rescheduled 3 times. Everyone was so understanding. When Milly made it clear it was time, I called. There was no problem finding a time that worked for us. That Monday morning, I took her outside and put her on the grass. She wobbled a few steps, stood in the sun and she made the decision that this was the place. With Dr. Kendra and Dr. Beth, we sat on the deck in the sun. Milly laid on my lap and raised her head to sniff the gentle breeze. A little bird sat on the railing chirping quietly. We told them about Milly, sharing stories of what a gentle little thing she was and some of her silliness. Dr. Kendra made it clear that we were to take our time. They listened to our stories and took the time to get to know Milly, that she wasn't just another pet on the schedule. When we felt ready, Dr. Kendra gently eased Milly into a restful sleep. Then, again when we were ready, she gave Milly the peace she so deserved. They cried with us. We were not alone in our sadness. We still sat there. Dr. clipped a few of her white curls for me. When we were ready, my husband carried her to the car where a bed had been prepared for her. Don placed her in the bed and Dr. Kendra carefully covered her. We felt completely at ease letting them take our little one, knowing she was being cared for with love and respect. Dr. Kendra delivered her ashes and again hugged me, offering her sympathy. I told her we were trying to just be grateful that Milly had chosen to share her life with us. Since then I have reached out via email to Mike several times. Reading his responses have helped me when the loss seems overwhelming. This is the hardest thing any pet owner will ever have to experience. While it was and hasn't been easy, we will forever be grateful to Healing Touch for their care and support.
Our Kodiak had seen many vets over the years and in different states. Dr. Kendra did our at home euthanasia. Her professionalism, compassion, and empathy. Made her by far the best vet we've ever met or experienced in our life time of owning dogs. These people care, and that's getting rare these days.
Saying goodbye to an beloved member of your familyis painful however,I will say though having the privilege of saying goodbye at home was a beautiful experience. Our whole family was able to participate while keeping our beloved pet calm and feeling loved. The attending doctor was so kind, compassionate and loving. I cannot say enough good things about the veterinarian that was here and the way the business handled the whole experience.

Dr. Kendra was absolutely amazing with our family and our dog, Lilly. She was very caring and patient with our family as we said our final goodbyes. She gave us all of the details of the process and explained it in a way that was clear for us and our kids as well. What an amazing gift she gave our Lilly on her last day. Saying goodbye to our old dog was so difficult. I cannot imagine putting him through the trauma of a drive to the vet and being in a strange place for his last hour. He was not able to walk, so that would have been immensely painful as well. Dr. Kendra came to our house, and our boy was able to be with us in a familiar place in his own bed when he went to sleep for the last time. Dr. Kendra handled everything with great sensitivity and compassion. We adopt older rescues, so we've been through this before, and it is always hard. We're really grateful to have someone with Dr. Kendra's expertise and compassion.
